The Association “Education Builds Bosnia and Herzegovina – Jovan Divjak”, with the support of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton, is organizing an event entitled “Opportunities for All Youth: Success through Diversity”, as part of the project “Inclusion of Youth from Marginalized Groups – World Inclusion Day”.

This event aims to improve inclusion and empower youth from marginalized groups through a series of activities that will be held on October 19, 2024 from 10:00 to 16:30 at the Children’s House, Center for Children and Youth Novo Sarajevo, Grbavička bb. Through the fair of organizations, inspiring talks and workshops, young people will have the opportunity to learn more about the possibilities for their active inclusion in society and achieve personal and professional development.

The event’s agenda includes:

10:00-16:00 Fair of Organizations

The Fair of Organizations brings together non-governmental organizations, initiatives and associations that will present their work, projects and opportunities for youth inclusion. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about various socially beneficial activities, services and ways to actively engage in the community and support various initiatives.

Participating organizations: Aksiom, Municipal Organization of the Red Cross Novo Sarajevo, Znak za rijec, Sarajevo Open Center, Youth Initiative for Human Rights, EcoVegAnimals, Naše ptice – ornithological society, Archdiocesan Center for Youth Pastoral “Ivan Pavao II”, BRAVO (Bosnian Representative Association for Valuable Opportunities), Association “Oaza”, UG “Zašto ne”, Association “Obrazovanje gradi Bosnia i Herzegovina – Jovan Divjak”.

11:00-12:30 Inspirational talk

Moderator: Matej Vrebac

Participants: Almir Agić, Alma Mujanović, Emrah Tepić, Merima Sorguč Dervović

The talk will bring together young people from different marginalized groups who have achieved success despite challenges. They will share their stories, experiences and advice for achieving their goals.

13:00-14:30 Workshop “How to Communicate Successfully: Communication and Giving Feedback”

Workshop leader: Dalibor Tanić

This workshop will provide participants with practical tips and techniques for effective communication, with a special focus on giving constructive feedback. Through interactive exercises and examples, participants will learn how to improve their communication skills and build better relationships in professional and private environments.

The workshop will have sign language translation provided.

15:00-16:30 Workshop “How to Become a Responsible Member of Your Community”

Workshop leader: Snježana Ivandić Ninković

The workshop will explore ways in which individuals can actively contribute to their community, promote social responsibility and engagement. Through practical examples and discussions, participants will learn how to recognize community needs, initiate change and become positive drivers within their environment.

The workshop will have sign language translation provided.
