Since the beginning of 2019, the staff, together with the Executive Director, has been working on preparations for the celebration of 25 years of work and activities of the Association “Education Builds BiH”. The result of all these preparations could be seen in our monograph “A quarter of a century of triumph of philanthropy” but also on June 22 in the Hall of the Municipality of Stari Grad and in the Sarajevo City Hall. On that day, we presented the results, experiences, cooperation, problems and challenges we face through three events. At the XVIII Assembly of the Association, the Minutes from the previous assembly were adopted, financial and annual reports were presented, as well as the financial and work plan for the next period. The executive director of the Association, as well as the working staff, addressed the audience.

The next event was the Ceremonial Academy, which was attended by over 300 guests – members, donors, scholarship holders, partners from BiH and abroad, and representatives of the private and public sectors in BiH. We were honored to host about 30 guests who came from different parts of Europe. On that occasion, plaques and letters of thanks were presented to those who helped achieve the mission and program goals through their lobbying, donations and other ways.Also, the famous singing duo Laka and Mirela presented the song “There are people” on this occasion, which they donated to the Association on the occasion of this jubilee.

The last event of the day was a concert by Amira Medunjanin, a recognizable and very successful sevdah performer. Mrs. Medunjanin and her colleague, Mr. Boško Jović, honored us with their talent through a 90-minute performance of the most beautiful songs from our region. After the concert, all guests are invited to join us for dinner at the Nova Bentbaša restaurant.
