Gifted laptops for 45 scholarship holders/high school students of Roma nationality

The Association “Education Builds Bosnia and Herzegovina” gifted laptops to 45 students – high school students of the Roma national minority in order to facilitate their monitoring and participation in classes and further education. Respecting the rules of social distance, eight students living in the Sarajevo Canton received laptops in person at the Association’s premises, while they will be delivered by mail to those living outside the Sarajevo Canton. Thirty-seven students who will be delivered laptops by express mail come from several cities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina; Zenica, Jajce, Bosanska Krupa, Brcko, Janja, Vitez, Doboj, Mostar, Kljuc, Kakanj, Celic, Donji Vakuf, Visoko, Gradiska and Bijeljina, and scholarships from the Open Society Fund BiH, which supports the Roma national minority through grants.

The program of support for the education of the Roma national minority by the Open Society Fund of BiH began in 2005 through the Association “Education Builds BiH”. Concluding with the school / academic year 2019/2020. year, we provided scholarships to 771 pupils and students of the Roma national minority.
