Cyclists from Roveret brought the flag of peace to Sarajevo

On 22.08.2019, a group of young cyclists from the Association “Grande Quercia” from Rovereto, Italy, arrived in the capital of BiH bringing the flag of peace.

This association has been working on the promotion of peace for many years, and this year they decided to visit our country with the project “Bike for Peace 2019”. The flag was handed over to Mr. Nedžad Fazlija, who took it over on behalf of the City of Sarajevo.

The Association “Education Builds BiH” is recognized as a reliable partner due to similar experiences in the past, and we are invited to help organize the reception of this group, together with the Embassy of Italy, the Association of Citizens of Italian descent and Associazione Culturale Italiana Dante Alighieri in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On this occasion, the Executive Director of the Association, Mr. Divjak, presented a letter of thanks for the support of our work and activities, to the Ambassador, N.E. Nicola Minassi. We would also like to express our great gratitude to the Giro di Sarajevo for supporting this idea and joining the cyclists at the entrance to Sarajevo and accompanying them to the gathering place on the Sarajevo Children’s Square.
