The delegation of the University of Sarajevo led by prof. dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Rector of the University of Sarajevo, and Head of the Department of Arts, Culture and Sports, mr. sci. Mirzom Nakičevićem on Friday, March 25, 2022, visited the Association “Education Builds Bosnia and Herzegovina – Jovan Divjak” where they met with the executive and working staff of the Association.

The reason for the visit was the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the Association “Education Builds Bosnia and Herzegovina – Jovan Divjak”, which was announced during the visit of the delegation of the Association to the University of Sarajevo. Memorandum, signed by the Rector of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, and Deputy Executive Director of the Association, Edin Bećarević, is the first step in improving cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the Association in various fields and the implementation of joint projects.

It was pointed out that in the academic 2021/2022. The Association has been providing scholarships to 54 students of the University of Sarajevo, which represents almost a fifth of the total number of scholarship holders.

During the visit to the Association of prof. dr. Rifat Škrijelj also visited the office of one of the founders and longtime executive director of the Association, Jovan Divjak, expressing the wish that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially students, follow his path of philanthropy and humanism, supporting young people from the most vulnerable and sensitive parts of our society.
